مسمية

My Lord,

With reference to Your Lordship's confiden tial despatch of the 28th February, 1920, I have the honour

to forward for your information statistics of the main items of trade between this Colony and Siam, and to state that, in view of the considerable importation of foodstuffs from Siam, I trust that every endeavour will be made to secure the reduction or at least to prevent any increase of the transit charges and export duty on rice from Siam.

2.

In other respects, provided that import duties are kept at a reasonable level, it does not appear that the interests of this Colony would be affected by a revision of the Siamese Treaties.

I have the honour to be,

My Lord,

Your Lordship's most obedient,

humble servant,

77.5. Statts

Governor,&c.

HE RIGHT HONOURABLE

VISCOUNT MILNER, G.C.B.,
